Action Specialist Brahim Chab, aka “Monkey Man,” boards Pedring Lopez’s “Blood Passage”

Directed by Pedring Lopez of the Philippines, who most recently wrapped up the prison drama series “Sellblock,” action choreographer Brahim Chab, who most recently staged the action sequences for Deve Patel’s “Monkey Man,” has joined the cast of “Blood Passage.”

The martial arts vampire action horror film “Blood Passage” is based in South-east Asia. The plot centres on a botched rescue attempt that sets a private military squad up against unstoppable supernatural forces.

The movie is the first product of the partnership between Very Tay Media, owned by Alaric Tay, and Blackops Studios Asia, founded by Lopez.

Rex Lopez for Blackops Studios Asia & Psyops8 and Tay for Very Tay Media will produce the movie. Executive producing will be Christopher Shaw, a descendant of the Shaw Brothers, and Fred Hedman of Evolution Pictures and GFM Film Sales. The stunt coordinator for Lopez’s “Sellblock,” Sonny Sisson, will reprise a comparable position. Multihyphenate Mike Leeder, headquartered in Hong Kong, is in charge of casting.

“When creating this one-of-a-kind cinematic experience, I envision a symphony of fear and excitement.” Long after the credits have rolled, viewers will be gripped and captivated by this spine-tingling adventure,” stated Lopez.

Since Mike Leeder first introduced us, Chab has been looking forward to working with Pedring Lopez. “I’m very excited about bringing some very cool action to the screen, with some great people,” Chab remarked.

Tay is most known for playing numerous characters on Mediacorp’s satirical series “The Noose.” He was also the star and executive producer of the 2018 Singapore zombie film “Zombiepura.” Additionally, he co-produced and directed HBO Asia’s first comedic drama series, “SeNT.”
