Among Jennifer Lawrence’s numerous professional achievements is her Oscar win for Best Actress. The 33-year-old can now add appearing in a film that is based on her cherished Real Housewives series to her list of accomplishments.

The Silver Linings Playbook actress will both produce and feature in the murder mystery The Wives, according to an announcement made by Apple Original Films on Friday. Jeremy O. Harris, Josh Godfrey, and Justine Ciarrocchi are among the other producers on the project; they stated on X that it is “the culmination of almost 7 years of work.”

The film will be scripted by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley, who created and played in the critically acclaimed theatre production of This American Wife, though specifics of the narrative have not yet been disclosed.

For years, Lawrence has made no secret of her love for reality TV, particularly the ladies who appear on Bravo’s series that are centred around socialites in places like New York City, Atlanta, Miami, and other places.

In a Vanity Fair article published in October 2014, she gushed about her obsession.

She declared, “I do love my Real Housewives.” “Housewives from Beverly Hills, New Jersey, Atlanta, and New York. Though I adore them all, Miami is my absolute favourite! Miami is very unique.”

In December 2017, Lawrence was still a die-hard fan of reality TV when Oprah Winfrey asked her in an interview for The Hollywood Reporter which three individuals, alive or dead, she would most like to have dinner with. In response, she said, “Bethenny Frankel [also formerly from RHONY], Luann [de Lesseps] from Real Housewives of New York, and Scott Disick [from Keeping Up With the Kardashians].” And while I’m not proud of it, that’s what my heart truly believes.”
Thankfully, some of Lawrence’s wishes were fulfilled in March 2018 when Watch What Happens Live host and Housewives producer Andy Cohen threw her a surprise dinner party on an episode of his show, featuring de Lesseps and Frankel as guests.
