EST N8 Selects “Delivery Man” from Kongkiat Komesiri for Pre-Sales

The hit-making Thai director Kongkiat Komesiri’s next feature project, “Delivery Man,” has been taken up by Bangkok- and Los Angeles-based EST N8. It will be introduced by the corporation at the Cannes Market, which is next to the Cannes Film Festival.

Komesiri is well-known for his successful trilogy of “Khun Pan” films, the BL series “KinnPorsche,” and horror movies such as “Slice” and “Art of the Devil II.”

He also wrote the new movie, which is billed as “a spine-chilling horror experience […].” [that combines the well-known Thai storytelling technique with the thrilling style of Korean cinema].” Production is scheduled to begin in September, and the finished film is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2025.

“Yada” Narilya Gulmongkolpech, who made her breakthrough in GDH’s “The Medium” in 2021, will be the star of “Delivery Man.” “She enhances the film’s appeal to both national and international audiences by bringing a unique blend of authenticity and intensity to her roles,” EST N8 remarked of her.

Night Edge Pictures is the film’s producer and will release it in 2025. The company balances manufacturing, sales, and distribution; it is launching “Night Shift” at the Cannes Market. It is well-known for having released sophisticated horror movies in Thailand, such as “Speak No Evil” and “Late Night with the Devil,” and for being the home of A24’s 2023 smash blockbuster movie “Talk to Me,” which brought in around $500k.

Hans Audric Estialbo, the business’s CEO, stated, “Night Edge started as a distribution and sales company, but will focus on developing and producing our own productions moving forward.” We think Yada is our star, thus we’re thrilled to be bringing this title to the global market with EST N8. Given our distinct and unwavering concentration on genre movies, we think this would be a fantastic project to kick off our slate.

EST Studios and N8 have partnered to form EST N8. Three completed Asian titles have recently strengthened its Cannes Market sales slate. They include The Philippines from Slamdance, a war drama from Nepal, and an action film from Korea that will have its world premiere at Fantasia.

EST Studios was founded in 2022 by Jaeson Ma and Eric Tu. It represents Asian content in a variety of genres and looks for 15 projects a year to finance, produce, and represent.

Rachel Wu and Kris Eiamsakulrat established N8. It collaborated with top Thai company GDH559 last year to co-produce a series of thriller and horror movies for a worldwide audience.
