We seem to have been discussing the new iteration of “Time Bandits” for a long time. Actually, it was announced back in 2018 (do you remember the good old days before COVID?) that Apple TV+ was developing a series based on Terry Gilliam’s science fiction picture. Now that summer is almost here, we’re finally getting a sneak peek at the new “Time Bandits.”
We get our first glimpse at “Time Bandits,” the upcoming Apple TV+ series from Taika Waitit, Jemaine Clement, and Iain Morris, thanks to EW. A little child who happens to be a history nerd travels across time with a group of robbers in this television series.
Starring in the series are Lisa Kudrow, Charlyne Yi, Rachel House, Matt King, George Houvardas, Tadhg Murphy, Rune Temte, Kiera Thompson, and Kal-El Tuck. Taika Waititi discussed how there will be some surprises among the “Time Bandits” ensemble in an interview with EW.
He said, “I had a great time working with the cast and all the actors that we were able to get in.” “We have recurring performers who switch up their parts in the various episodes. That is also included in the movie. It’s similar to the “Monty Python” phenomenon in that characters can return and assume new roles.
On July 24, “Time Bandits” will finally debut on Apple TV+. The first look image is shown below:
